How Can I Say Thanks?
How Can I Say Thanks?
Kindness so rare
In deeds you’ve done;
Gives rise to words
And inspiration.
No flairs -- No airs --
Announce your acts,
You weigh men’s hearts;
You weigh the facts.
Uncommonly meek
But bold in your stride;
You wield your baton,
But not with pride.
“How to express
One’s thankfulness?”
It boggles my mind --
I must confess.
Kindness so rare
Extended from you
Won’t return void;
You’ll get your due.
Whatever you’ve sown
Is not in vain;
Good things will occur
You’ll reap the gain!
So when people like me,
Overwhelm you with love;
They’re inspired by Him
Who resides above.
If at times you misplace
Your smile and your laugh;
Acknowledge the Lord
For He knows your path.
I’ve tried to express
And sought to convey
My gratitude
With this verbal bouquet.
