“Look,” says Jesus
“They’re treading on My blood.
I’m crucified afresh
By their ungodly love.”
And Jesus wept!

“Look,” says the Lamb
“Was it not for them I came?
And endured persecution
And took all their blame?”
And Jesus wept.

“Look,” says Jesus
They don’t recognize My voice.
They won’t seek My Word
When it’s time to make a choice.”
And Jesus wept.

“See,” says Jesus
“They’ve got infirmities;
Diseases running rampant
In all extremities.”
And Jesus wept.

And Jesus said….
“Don’t they know their power
Their authority?
I overcame the world
And gave them victory.”

“Let Me pour My Spirit
Upon the pure in heart;
And nourish the Aged
And make a fresh start.”

“Suffer the little children
To come nigh to Me;
I’ll fill them with My Law
Of Perfect Liberty.”

And Jesus smiled.
