Thoughts of A Heart Patient in the Night!
Thoughts of A Heart Patient in the Night!
I
People rushing...... rushing by
Engrossed with cares;
They groan and sigh
Do they know my inner thoughts, Oh Most high?
Do they hear me when I cry?
II
Though my heart makes silent pleas
No one notices - no one sees
This weary figure of helplessness.
Affliction has brought me to my knees.
III
Are you there, Father above?
Are you aware of my urgency?
Keep my mind from insanity,
Embrace me please.
IV
Strong God - Mighty One
It’s You I trust - To You I come.
I feel after You, and find sweet peace,
Your presence brings relief.
V
You’re never too busy to heed our cries;
You don’t ignore us or breathe out sighs;
Before we call -
You stand present - You’re near;
There’s no need to panic - no need to fear.
VI
Blessed are we who know Your love,
Who turn to You
For strength from above;
Our walls are continually
Before Your face.
And your presence brings
Refreshing grace.

Thank you Lord for healing balm....... for refreshing rest......... for soothing words.............
during times of discomfort and distress.......... You are my strength, my source of Joy! You are my life! Praise be unto You! To God be the glory, for the deliverance He has brought unto my heart. Hallelujah, Thank you, sweet Jesus!
You are the Healer.
You are the Healing Balm.
You have restored my heart
And strengthened my Arm.
Oh, Lamb of God - You are Awesome!
___________
This poem was written during a brief stay in the hospital,
when I’d been diagnosed with heart trouble. What was thought
to be a blockage in my arteries, turned out to be a
gastrointestinal condition, which mimicked a heart attack.
The night before the angiogram, I wrote this poem,
and it comforted my fears.......
If you ever feel what I felt, I pray Jesus will come to your side, and
comfort and strengthen you too.
With love and prayers,
Lil
