I will speak on this wise
The power’s in the Word;
I will speak by faith
And I shall be heard.

Confident and bold
I take my stand
The zeal of my Lord
Is at my right hand.

My face is set like flint
My mind’s made up;
I shall humble my will
And drink all of “my cup.”

Every bitter dreg
I shall receive;
I won’t resist
What’s for me to conceive.

Thy servant heareth,
And shall comply;
And come into subjection
To the Word on High.

When we trust His way,
And forsake our own;
Every problem will fade
And we’ll cease every groan.

For it’s not by might
Nor by my power,
But it’s by His Spirit
He performs in His hour.
