From the Father to His Daughter
Ruth 3:10-11
Thus saith the lord
Blessed art thou, my daughter, inasmuch as you choose not to follow young men,
for I see that you are a virtuous woman. Yea, I know your heart, how you long for love, how your soul travails with anguish. Fear not, my daughter, for though you are a woman
forsaken and grieved in spirit, and refused by some - To Me you are my precious one,
my lovely one, my tender-hearted one. (Isaiah 54:6)
Dost thou have shame? Art thou sorrowful? Is your soul disquieted? Yea… I declare…I shall come unto thee and dry thy eyes…comfort thy heart…remove thy reproach and sing a song of hope unto thee.
For I am touched by the deep stirrings of love I have for thee. I come to you…my child…to visit with you…to console you, and to commend you in your uprightness of conversation. Dost thou not know thy strength?Dost thou not see hou> the tempter fails to ensnare your soul? I see, and I am pleased that you do not allow yourself to be overwhelmed and drawn away from loving Me. I see you holding fast to your integrity.
Do you know how pleased I am that it is Me you love more than anyone? I - the lord - your Maker -
am delighted that your choice has been HOLINESS, FAITHFULNESS AND CHASTENESS.
Stay strong - dear one - and refuse fleshly urges that are at enmity with righteousness. Thou art comely and fair. Thou art precious and rare. You are my pleasant bread.
Come - let us reason together. Have I not heard you ask for another to love you, to cherish you and to cover you? Will I hear your cry and not seek to bring it to pass? It is a good thing that you ask. So I set myself to bring it to pass.
I say unto you therefore -stay anchored in your love for me. Keep endearing yourself to me.
Continue adoring me and worshipping me, and in return - in DUE TIME - IT SHALL COME TO PASS -You shall have the desires of your innermost being. At my appointed time, I will allow that "good man” to "find" you, and discover the treasure that you really are.
I, MYSELF—not another—will present you to the one you are truly matched for. I will join you unto such a one that I know is fit for you-One who is cut asunder from father and mother and is prepared to be joined unto a wife. Know ye not how much it will give me to present you to the chosen one that will be your head, your body’s saviour and your beloved mate?
Therefore be patient, my daughter, unto the day of this happening. Yea…behold with earnest expectation and hope in faith, as you wait for the fruit of your seed sown in tears. As the God of your soul, I beseech you to have long patience-Let you love for me be established, rooted and grounded. While you wait-trust that I know how to please you and when to send the early and latter rains which will in turn, bring forth the harvest-the precious fruit of your heart’s desire.
Hold fast to thy virtue and shun the very appearance of disloyalty to me-your heavenly Father. These things say I to you, because I love you with an everlasting love. Surely I will reward thy obedience –thy meek and quiet faithfulness. I speak to your passions, that they be still and unmoveable when temptation is nigh. I command your soft heart to judge and not be deceived by subtle flatteries and smooth speeches. By my power, shall your life be hid in Christ and so shall your virtue remain intact.
Oh my child! Surely this day I take delight as a Father, in imparting these words unto you. Take these words—Eat them, and so shall you live. Live in expectation that I, the Lord God of all the universe, would move heaven and earth, to come unto you and sup with you.
Hear ye the conclusion of the whole matter: “Wait, I say, on the Lord, and stay encouraged. Courage renews faith. Lift up your head, oh ye virtuous woman, for your desire draws nigh. I have spoken it and I shall bring it to pass,” saith the Lord.
God has not forgotten us, dear sisters, for we are indeed engraved upon the palm of His hand.
