Being Productive
St. Luke 12:16
O death, where is thy sting! O grave, where is thy victory?
The Lord, who formed the light, and created darkness
is the One who sees the end from the beginning and
declares it!
God said - "I command you {that are rich in My Son,
Christ Jesus, to bring forth plentifully!" I Am God
and there is none else; I am God, and there is none
like Me. . I declare the end from the beginning, and
from ancient times the things that are not yet done,
saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my
pleasure." (Isaiah 46:10)
Cannot the Lord who makes peace, make your life
productive? He, who made everything beautiful in His
time, will cause you to bring forth plentifully out of
your ground. You have all He needs to work with, so
you don't have fret and wonder what else you must add
to your human self, for the Lord to abound you.
He is the One who brought you forth out of your
mother's womb and caused you to hope when you were yet
upon your mother's breasts. This is that same Lord
who beheld Abram in the land of Ur where idols were
worshipped, and discerned that he would become the
Father of many nations. Surely, this same God is in
thee, my friend. That potential within your spirit
man was created by Him. What nation will you bless?
What land will He send you too? Who knows the mind of
God?
In days of old, the Lord beheld the ruddy countenance
of David - the shepherd boy, but it wasn't the outward
appearance that attracted Him to David. God saw the
"end from the beginning" - that David's heart was
strong, yet tender, and he had the stamina to become
the King of Israel who would originate the lineage of
the Messiah. You have spiritual sons and daughters in
your life, who marvel at the life of Christ in you.
Feed them the Word of Life, and allow yourself to
intercede for them, as they grow into maturity.
God Himself who formed the earth and made it, does not
see a thing and speak in secret or in a dark place of
the earth. He is the Father of Lights, and dwells in
light, and the Word unto you today comes to inform you
that you're not hidden from view. He beholds you, my
friend. He knows whether the ground of your mind is
ready to receive seed, or whether it is still fallow,
idle and crusted over. He loves to behold you. The
Bible says, not only are you in the palm of His hand -
He beholds your very walls.
You may be wondering: "What lack I yet? How can I
reach my fullest potential? Are my words apples of
gold in pictures of silver? What is my latter end
going to be? Why am I barren and unfruitful? When
will I see the end of my faith?"
You're a branch and Jesus is the True Vine. You will
see the end of your faith when you stay obedient to
every precept and every command and mix them with
faith. So shall your Heavenly Father purge you so you
can bear fruit. The more you endure correction and
hardness, the more you will realize what your gifts
are. Stay in Christ! Abide in the True Vine, and you
will be led into that place of spirituality fertility
and productivity.
Shun those "dead flies" which circle you, causing you
to bring forth a stinking savour. "Dead flies" are
those ways and habits which are described as a "little
folly." As you seek your Lord, He'll enlighten you to
some souls you're cleaving to who are parasites. They
are "dead flies" who are polluting your righteous
character. Lay aside those foolish trifles ( and
acquaintances) which stain your reputation. You're
the child of the King - the heir of wisdom and honour.
In so doing, you will be able to produce fruit of
right doing.
When tribulation and persecution arise at home, on
the job or among the church members, because of the
Word, don't become personally offended. Resentment
can set in, and destroy the roots of your tomorrows.
Owe no man love, my friend. You're blessed, remember?
It might not feel like it, but you're in the "apple
of God's eye" when you're suffering. Blessed are you
when men revile you and say all manner of evil against
you falsely. As you praise Him during this test, your
roots are growing, and you're producing more fruit.
Allow your heart to turn away from the cares of this
world, and be strong in the Lord and in the power of
His might. Don't be fooled by the deceitfulness of
riches, for the love of money will cause your love for
the Word to wax colder and colder. How can God
perform that good work in you, for which you were born
again, if your love for the world chokes out the Word
every time you hear it?
Dear One, receive the Word, and let it be engrafted
into your soul and become passionate about it.
Excitement for that Word will keep those seeds of
faith, joy, peace, and so on, growing in the soil of
your meek, gentle mind. Receiving the engrafted Word
with meekness enables God to save you, heal you,
prosper you, develop you, and abound you!
As you go out and bring forth accordingly -
thirty-fold, sixty-fold, and some one hundred-fold,
rejoice not in your productivity. Neither rejoice
that the devils are subject to you in the name of
Jesus, but rather rejoice
that your name is written in the Lamb's Book of Life.
Now unto Him, who alone has the power to impregnate
you with the Fruit of the Spirit and perfect those
things which concern you, be dominion, glory, majesty
and honor, for ever and ever, Amen.
